Claremont Fire Department

The Claremont Fire Department is a very active part of the community and was founded in 1908.  We currently have openings for new members and would be happy to have anyone stop and visit.

For a small town we are well equipped. Some of our equipment consists of 2 pumpers, 3 tankers, and a 4x4 grass rig.

Our Department’s coverage area consists of the City of Claremont, Claremont, Ripley and Aurora Townships.  If you live in the coverage area, at least 18 years old, and are interested in becoming a firefighter, we encourage you to apply for membership.

Our members have a pension fund after 10 years of service.  All training costs and protective equipment are paid for along with wages paid to our members for training hours.

Our regular meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

If you are interested in becoming a firefighter, or would just like to check out our operation, feel free to stop by on a Wednesday night or when you see us at the Fire Hall.  You may also contact City Hall at 528-2137 and they can help you get in contact with one of us.
