Spring is here and along with nicer weather, spring cleaning! Cleaning up your property and yard is a chore we all know too well. Please keep in mind the various city ordinances for all properties within the city. It is wonderful to walk through town and see the pride our residents have in their homes. The city ordinances can be found on our website. The ordinances apply to all properties within the city. The following is a list of the ordinances you’ll want to become familiar with:

Subd 8 and Subd 9 - all vehicles that are not stored in a building must have a current license and be fully operational with all parts (i.e., wheels, bumpers, etc.) installed. Yards and boulevards shall be kept clear of all off-street parking. No person shall place, park, permit to remain, store or leave upon an open space area of any premises governed by this ordinance any motor vehicle unless it conforms with all the following requirements: a. The vehicle must have affixed to it a valid current motor vehicle license; and b. The vehicle must not lack essential parts that would render it inoperable; and c. The vehicle must not be in a wrecked, partially dismantled, or junked condition Subd. 26 - covers parking of vehicles
