Copy and paste this link https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ to see a map showing the service line material for buildings connected to public water supplies. A service line is the pipe that brings water from the water main to a building. Residents have been notified by their water system if they have a service line that needs replacement or that may need replacement. These notifications are not an indication that there is an immediate problem with their drinking water. Water systems routinely test drinking water for lead and notify residents separately if there’s an issue.
