The Claremont Fire Department is hosting TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE
Saturday Dec 7 from 9 am - noon in front of the Fire Hall on Front Street. If it is cold, it will be inside the west end of the Fire Hall. 
Come see the Firetrucks and the Fire Fighters
while donating a new toy or monetary donations for department toy shopping at a later date. There is also a drop off box at City Hall and the Claremont Service Center.

Mayor for a Day Contest

The League of Minnesota Cities is once again encouraging our state’s 4th, 5th, and 6th graders to share ideas about how they would make cities better through submitting essays in the League’s “Mayor for a Day” essay contest.

 Contest information can be found at www.lmc.org/mayorforaday. We encourage you to share this link with the elementary students in your city.

 Three winning students will be chosen from among submitted entries. Each winning student will receive $100 and will have their essay published in a future issue of Minnesota Cities magazine.

Service Line Materials Inventory

The City of Claremont has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at 507-528-2137. To complete the service line inventory our system performed record review, community outreach, and/or visual inspections.

As of October 16, 2024, our inventory contains 2 lead, 8 galvanized requiring replacement, 37 unknown material, and 168 non-lead service lines.

Brush Dump

If the brush dump road is blocked off do not go out there as it would be closed for your safety while it is burning 

and/or getting cleaned up.

Dodge County Renovation Re-Use

By donating items or shopping in their store, you keep used materials out of landfills and give them a second life.  These proceeds go to fund the building of homes for families in need. Click for more information.
